Kuwait is beginning to emerge as a big market in relation to the increased competition between world brands and local brands. There is more customer knowledge to the goods and services than ever before. Yet, Kuwaiti corporations are still not making the retail sector of the market as it should be (compared to the west). This is where the Retail Academy comes in. The big wave of change in the market from franchised companies to local brands needs a focus. These local brands, being managed by today’s Kuwaiti generation, threaten the existence of those franchises. As Mr. Firas said “The trainee is always trained based on the market needs”.
